Privacy

What we do with what you tell us.

Short version: what you send on the form goes to a private spreadsheet only we can open, and it is used to plan your day and book your tables. Nothing else.

What the website itself does

There is no analytics on this site, no advertising, and no cookies. Nothing is recorded while you read, and nothing at all leaves your device until you press Send.

When you do press it, what you typed goes to a spreadsheet held in our own Google account, and we get an email telling us a booking has arrived. Nobody outside our team can open that spreadsheet. If it cannot be reached for any reason, the form opens your own email app instead so that nothing you wrote is lost.

You are then taken to Stripe to pay. That is a different company's page, on their own address, and your card number is typed into their page, not ours. We never see it, we never hold it, and it is never sent to us. All we are ever told is that the payment succeeded, for how much, and the email address you gave Stripe for the receipt.

The only thing this page loads from elsewhere is the typefaces, from Google Fonts.

What reaches us

Once you press Send, we hold what you wrote:

  • Your name, your email address, the country you are travelling from, and your phone number
  • The dates you asked for and how many of you are coming
  • Where you are staying, so we know where to meet you
  • Where you want to go, what you are interested in, and what you want to eat
  • That you paid, how much, and when. Never your card number.
  • Allergies, dietary rules, and anything else you chose to tell us

If you message us on WhatsApp or Instagram instead, we hold whatever you write there, and those companies handle the message under their own terms.

What we use it for

Planning your day, booking your tables, and talking to you about it. That is the whole list.

We do not build a mailing list, we do not send marketing, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone who is not part of your day.

Who else sees any of it

Restaurants and places we book for you. They are told the date, the time, how many of you there are, and any allergy that affects what you can be served. They are not told anything else about you.

Stripe. They take the payment. You type your card details into their page and they hold them, not us. They also keep a record of the payment, as any payment company must, and they use it to spot fraud. Their own privacy policy governs that, at stripe.com/privacy. What they tell us is limited to the fact of payment, the amount, and your email address.

Google. The spreadsheet and the email sit in Google Workspace, as they would if you had simply emailed us. Google stores them for us and does not use them for anything else.

Allergies and anything medical

We treat this as the sensitive information it is. We ask for it only so that nobody is served something that harms them, we pass it to a restaurant only where that is the point, and we keep it nowhere else.

If you would rather tell us on the day instead of in writing, that is completely fine.

How long we keep it

One year after your day, then we delete it. We keep it that long only so that we can help if you come back, and so we can answer a question about a booking that has already happened.

If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will.

Who on our side can see it

Only people who work on your day. Access is granted one person at a time to a named Google account, and taken away again when someone stops working with us. It is never shared as a file, a link, or an export.

Your say over it

Write to us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete all of it. You do not need to give a reason, and it costs nothing.

We will answer within a few days.
